Lowes and GE announced a new price war, with the GE Electrolux fridge hitting $10,000 on Thursday, but other low-priced products hit a record low price as well.
The new Lowes GE Electric Furnace and the GE GE Electrolander refrigerator hit a new low of $1,100 per month, or about $3,000 a year.
Electrolux hit a $10 per month low of just under $6,000 per year.
The new low prices come as GE continues to reduce its workforce in an effort to cut costs.GE has been making the GE Electric fridge and the Electrolander fridge as part of its efforts to reduce labor costs, the company said in a statement Thursday.
The GE Electroland refrigerator was priced at $8,000, up from $6.50 in January.
The GE Electrolanders refrigerator was first introduced in January and the company has since added new models.
GE also is lowering its prices for its other low price products.
